ProgramsClients are given the opportunity to access support services relating to substance abuse issues if they desire. If interested, clients may participate in a detailed assessment interview that is used to determine their readiness for treatment.
The staff will discuss treatment options and planning with those who are interested in reducing or stopping their substance use. Staff will also discuss discharge plans with the client, and offer support in planning next steps when necessary. Clients are encouraged to get involved in this process so that their needs are heard and individualized care, discharge plans and referrals can be developed.
While at the Centre, clients are able to take advantage of counseling and educational services offered each day, both individually and in groups. Clients take part in psycho-educational groups, auricular acupuncture and in-house Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings.
Each client’s physical and emotional conditions are reviewed regularly in order to identify changes and suggest the most appropriate course of action for each individual.
